Allow the Help to Buy ISA bonus to be used for deposits for first-time buyers.

The Help to Buy ISA was established by the government to help hopeful first-time buyers. However it seems that the money the government puts into the Help to Buy ISA cannot be used as part of a deposit to help secure a mortgage for first-time buyers. Saving for a deposit is often one of the key barriers to people (especially young people and those in low paid employment) securing a mortgage and getting on the housing ladder, consequently being forced into the often unaffordable private rented sector.

The government's scheme is supposed to help first-time buyers, therefore the money the government puts into a Help to Buy ISA should be able to be used for a deposit helping people secure a mortgage and get on the housing ladder. Please consider signing the petition.
