Salford Labour Councillors joined with the Communication Workers Union, Unison, Praxis and local community campaigners on Saturday, 15th June, to campaign against the closure of the Crown Post Office at Salford Precinct.
We had a fantastic response from the public who signed petitions and expressed their outrage and disappointment at the proposals from the Post Office. People want the services and the accessibility the post office currently provides, the shop keepers and taxi drivers rely on the trade the post office brings to shopping precinct.
Councillors will be out campaigning in Swinton on Saturday 13th July as the post office there is also under threat.
If you care about keeping our Post Offices and haven’t signed our petition yet, please do so.
