On Saturday we were out campaigning in Eccles at the annual Eccles Festival. The morning was wet, to say the least, but the day was successful.
We got hundreds of signatures for the petition and some women gave us there own experiences of the centre. We are getting feedback which supports our suspicions that the birth centre is not being used to it's full advantage because some health professionals are not telling mothers to be about the advantages of the centre, or even telling them that it exists!
If you have given birth in the last two years and would like to fill out our survey please go to http://www.salfordlabour.org.uk/?q=content/maternity-questionnaire
